Holiday Specials!

I can't believe we are almost in November! Where has the year gone? The holidays will be here before you know it. Let me help you make them a little less stressful by helping with your holiday cards. Portrait art also makes great gifts. From now until November 30th I am running a special on Holiday Mini Sessions. $25 for a 30-45 minute session at the location of your choice. There are a limited number of these sessions available so hurry and get your session booked now! Also from now until the end of the year get a free 8x10 or get 50 6x7.5" custom cards with envelopes for $25.00 when you bring 10 non perishable food items to donate at the time of your session. All food items will be donated to the Utah food bank. I'll be posting some great gift ideas soon and I'll be launching my new web site!

This was taken up American Fork Canyon between rain drops on Saturday. We were getting ready to leave cause I was freezing and at our last stop my husband pointed out some low clouds. Some days everything lines up just right and lets you capture just a little bit of the beauty this world has to offer.

Fall Color

I love Utah in the fall. I really missed the fall leaves and the changing seasons when I lived in California. I did not miss scrapping frost off my windshield on the first day of October but I'm OK with the trade off. I'd love to take your family portraits up a canyon! Act fast, you never know when the snow will be falling! Send me an email or give me a call to set your appointment. Portrait art makes great holiday gifts!

Also if you or someone you know has a family member in the military who has been deployed check out Portraits of love.. Participating photographers across the nation are taking family portraits to be sent to our soldiers. The deadline has been extended so you still have time!

So my mom was in the hospital on Valentines day what a bummer so I sweet talked er um bribed my niece and nephew into letting me take their pictures to cheer Grandma up. T hates to sit still to let me take his picture and smile? forget it. I was pretty happy with these pictures because he almost smiled! Yeah!! So mom loved the pictures and thankfully a week after her knee replacement and 4 days later than planed she got to go home today. Thanks everyone at Timpview Hospital for taking such good care of her. :D

Some recent pictures

So they holidays are over and its a new year and I haven't put up any pictures yet! OH NO! Well I can't let that happen. I had a great time New Years Eve at Wheeler Farm with M and J they braved the cold and the snow with me and M braved it in killer boots too! Here are some of my favorites from that session.

After they left I wandered around Wheeler Farm on my own, since my husband had to work New Years Eve. It was so peaceful. I felt like I had the park to myself. What a great way to spend the afternoon.

January is a heavy month for birthdays in my family and this last weekend we got together to celebrate my dad's birthday with chicken noodle soup with homemade noodles. We have a great time making lumps and noodles its so fun. I wish I had taken pictures this year but with a history of flour fights its usually safer not to have the camera around. We had a very creative noodle session this year. We had a snow man, a peace sign, a pirate head skull and cross bones, a melted snowman and a ballerina princess. Good thing most of the people in our family like lumpy noodles :D Before we got to the serious business of making noodles, I took my niece M out into my mom's yard to take pictures. Mom wanted some landscape oriented 4x6 pictures to go in a frame she got for Christmas and M was up for it for once. I hope mom will like the 4x6 version I'm doing for her.

This is the 8x10 version. Now if I can just get her brother to let me take his picture we'd be in business! lol
Happy New Year everyone!
